Premier Restoration Hawaii has promoted Anthony Nelson to president and has expanded the company’s reach statewide with the acquisition of Kauai’s oldest and largest restoration company.

Nelson, who is based on Maui, was most recently the mitigation and restoration company’s chief commercial officer. In his new role he is responsible for Premier Restoration’s finance, growth strategy, annual sales and process goals and overseeing all operations.

“For me, it goes back to our core values — customer first, team, play to win, pride in work, communication — and our team goes out of their way to live these values,” Nelson said in a statement. “The clearest outcome of our quality work and excellent service is our Google reviews. We’re giving people a positive experience when their house just flooded or caught on fire. To get a high rating when people are dealing with that, it's a real testament to what our team is doing in the field every day.”

Nelson led the expansion to Kauai with the acquisition last month of The Professionals Kauai, the Garden Isle’s only brick-and-mortar restoration company on the island.

“I saw the opportunity to partner with Premier Restoration Hawaii first and foremost as a chance to serve the community of Kauai far more than I would have been able to as a stand-alone company,” Mike Wallace, former owner and now general manager of Kauai operations, said in a statement. “We are excited to be a part of a company that strives for quality and places great value in relationships with our customers.”

The 20 staff members on will continue working during the transition, while, Wallace will be responsible for operations and customer relations.

“Our statewide presence is critical to support the needs of all the communities in Hawaii, whether it’s flooding or wildfire events,” Nelson said. “Whenever we can truly make a difference and our expertise is called into action, you really get to see the quality of our work and company."
